Invitation to the Chrism Mass / Invitación a la Misa Crismal

We warmly invite two parishioners to represent our parish at one of the most meaningful liturgies of Holy Week—the Chrism Mass—on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 4:00 PM. This special celebration, rich in tradition and unity, will take place at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, 856 Pacific Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. We are limited to only 2 tickets, so "first come, first served." Please contact the Rectory (718-326-2185) if you would like to attend. These holy oils: ~Chrism – used in the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders, as well as for the consecration of altars and the dedication of churches. ~the Oil of Catechumens – also used in the sacrament of Baptism, and ~the Oil of the Sick – used only in the rite of the Anointing of the Sick used throughout the year in our Diocese, will be blessed by Bishop Robert J. Brennan at the Chrism Mass. In addition to the blessing of the three oils, all present are called to renew their baptismal promises; priests and deacons are further called to reaffirm their ministry by renewing the promises made at their ordination. The Chrism Mass is one of the most solemn and important liturgies of the Church year. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Invitamos cordialmente a dos feligreses a representar a nuestra parroquia en una de las liturgias más significativas de la Semana Santa —la Misa Crismal—, el martes 31 de marzo de 2026, a las 4:00 p. m. Esta celebración especial, rica en tradición y unidad, tendrá lugar en la Concatedral de San José, en el 856 de Pacific Street, en Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Brennan en la Misa Crismal. Además de la bendición de los tres óleos, todos los presentes están llamados a renovar sus promesas bautismales; los sacerdotes y diáconos también están llamados a reafirmar su ministerio renovando las promesas hechas en su ordenación. La Misa Crismal es una de las liturgias más solemnes e importantes del año eclesiástico.
