St. Thomas More was an English humanist, statesman, and chancellor of England. He lived from 1478 until 1535, when he was beheaded by King Henry VIII for refusing to recognize his authority and the Church of England. The witness of Thomas More could not be more relevant in our culture today. As we face cancel culture and social condemnation for standing up for our Catholic faith, we call to mind the unwavering faith of this great saint. A man, whose integrity could not be shaken by an earthly king because his heart was whole heartedly devoted to Christ the King. We pray for St. Thomas More’s intercession, as we seek to live out our Catholic faith in these most challenging times. This playlist contains a novena leading up to his feast day on June 22, as well as a beautiful meditation over a letter St. Thomas wrote to his daughter.
