With Stephen Ministry, our congregation has a great opportunity to reach out to people who are hurting and minister to them during their times of need. To meet these needs, we need Stephen Ministers. We need people with gifts of caring, compassion, patience, faith, and listening, people who feel called to serve, who want to make a difference in people’s lives, and who want to be part of a life-transforming ministry. The bonds that are formed with the other Stephen Ministers during training do not end with the training. Monthly support continues. If the Holy Spirit is calling you to be part of Stephen Ministry, please contact the Parish Offices

This Sunday, we hear how Peter testified to a dangerous and unpopular truth — that Christ was the Messiah. That courage, that trust in God, is the cornerstone of all we believe. Like Peter, we must always bear witness to the truth. See you at Mass!

Stephen Minister Training is an enriching, enjoyable, spiritual experience, possibly unlike any other training you have participated in before. The purpose of the training is to equip each Stephen Minister with essential caring and relating skills to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christian care to individuals who are hurting. Stephen Ministers will learn what to say and do and what not to say and do when people are struggling with a wide range of life difficulties. Most Stephen Ministers say that in addition to becoming better caregivers, everything they learn in Stephen Minister training has enhanced all their relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and others they meet in their everyday lives. To learn more about Stephen Ministry, please contact Parish Offices.

On Friday May 30th, several youth of the St Isidore Family enjoyed a trip to Detroit to the Blessed Solanus Casey Center and the Shrine of the Little Flower in Detroit led by Father Adam.
