St. George

In moments of deep trial, when human remedies seem to fail, the light of divine hope shines brightest through the patronage of the faithful Apostle of impossible causes. Known for his powerful intercession and steady guidance, he stands as a compassionate companion for every soul facing overwhelming challenges, reminding us that no burden is too heavy when placed in the hands of God. May his enduring legacy inspire us to trust unwaveringly in the Lord’s providence, finding in every trial a renewed promise of grace, healing, and victory.

In October, as we dedicate this month to the Holy Rosary, every prayer becomes a gentle invitation to pause, breathe, and rest our souls in the presence of God. Walking hand in hand with our Blessed Mother, we place our days and worries into her care, discovering in this simple devotion a quiet sanctuary from the noise of the world. As we pray this Rosary, we entrust our deepest joys, trials, and silent intentions into the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We ask her motherly intercession to draw us ever closer to Jesus, granting us the grace to live each day with steady faith, humility, and inner peace.

Baptism is a joyful celebration of welcoming new members into the Church. Parents seeking baptism for their child should participate in preparation classes held on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 9 am. Baptisms occur on the 2nd & 4th weekends of each month. Registration is required.

Couples preparing for marriage must contact the priest at least eight months in advance. The church accompanies parishioners in their preparation leading to their wedding day and married life. A reminder to give as God loves a cheerful giver, supporting the needs of the community.

A Quinceañera is a special coming-of-age ritual. Parents can start preparations for this celebration, including four years of CCE classes, a retreat, and registration with the church office. This journey helps renew baptismal promises and present the young lady or young man to the community.

A reminder of the special Masses this week, including Misa en Español, Mass in English, CCE classes, Rosary sessions, and the opportunity for Confessions. Also highlighted are the upcoming events like the Quinceañera ceremony, Baptism preparation classes, and the marriage preparation process.

Saint Teresa of Avila, a Doctor of the Church and master of the spiritual life, reveals to us that true prayer is simply an intimate conversation with the One who we know loves us. Her writings stand as a timeless guide into the interior castle of the soul, teaching us that in the quiet depths of our hearts, God abides as our steadfast friend, strength, and ultimate peace. As we journey through the days of this novena in her honor, we ask her intercession to kindle a passionate desire for prayer in our daily lives. May her courage and unwavering faith remind us that "God alone suffices," filling our hearts with trust, surrender, and deep spiritual clarity.
