The parish goal for the 2026 Bishop's Appeal is set at $215,000, similar to last year. Contributions of any amount, large or small, are welcome. The Appeal supports ministries that strengthen faith, assist those in need, and foster welcoming communities. Join us in meeting our spiritual and monetary goals together.
The Parish Pastoral Council is seeking nominations for new members to serve a 3-year term starting in September 2026. The Council assists the pastor in shaping the parish's mission and improving parish life. Ideal nominees are active in their faith, committed to the parish's mission, good listeners, and able to represent parishioners' hopes and concerns.
Saint John Parish is forming a Ministry of Communion to the Sick and Homebound. Volunteers are needed to bring the Holy Eucharist to parishioners who cannot attend Mass due to illness or age. Practicing Catholics in good standing are invited to serve in this important ministry. Training and scheduling are provided. Contact Jean Benitez for more information or to volunteer.
Let us offer prayers and tributes on Father's Day as we honor and appreciate our fathers. Fathers play an irreplaceable role in the lives of their children, reflecting God's love and fatherhood. May we seek St. Joseph's intercession to help fathers live their vocation with courage and love. Wishing all fathers a blessed and happy Father's Day.
