First Reading: Ex 19:5 - God considers the people his special possession. Psalm: We are his people, the sheep of his flock. Second Reading: Rom 5:8 - God proves his love by dying for sinners. Gospel: Mt 9:36 - Jesus is moved with pity for the troubled and abandoned crowds.
