First Friday Adoration, January 3rd

Join us for First Friday Adoration on January 3rd, from 9 AM to 9 PM. First Friday Adoration is a devotional tradition of spending an hour in Eucharistic adoration in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration is a sign of devotion to and worship of Jesus Christ, who we believe to be truly present in his Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, under the appearance of the consecrated host. As a devotion, Eucharistic adoration and meditation are more than merely looking at the Blessed Host, but are believed to be a continuation of what was celebrated in the Eucharist at Mass. Common practices during adoration: prayer, worship (silently express your love and adoration for Jesus), reading scripture, contemplation, spiritual reading, sitting silently with Jesus, examination of conscience, intercession (praying for others). We invite you to spend an hour in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. To ensure continuous adoration, we need two volunteers per hour to accompany the Blessed Sacrament. Sign-up online at bit.ly/Jan1stFriday in the back of the church or simply stop by the church on Friday, January 3rd.
