Glory to Jesus Christ! Fr. Calin will still be out of town this coming Sunday, June 11, but he warmly invites all members of our community to join our friends in the Maronite community for their monthly Liturgy (the Maronite use of the West Syriac/Antiochene Rite) at 2PM on Sunday in the Catholic Church of the Korean Martyrs (our usual location). I’ve been, and while I can’t make it this time, I’d definitely recommend it, as it is a beautiful liturgy and something quite different than the Byzantine and Roman Rites to which many of us our accustomed.
Glory to Jesus Christ! This week on Pentecost Sunday, our community will be privileged with a visit from Fr. Deacon Viorel Badiceanu of St. George Romanian Greek Catholic Cathedral in Canton, Ohio. He will offer for veneration an icon of the Blessed Martyr Bishops, with first-class relics included. The Icon will be presented for veneration starting at 7:30 AM before the celebration of the Divine Liturgy. We hope you can join us, as the martyred bishops are our mission’s patrons.
Christ is risen! Thanks to the hard work of many of our parishioners, our website looks amazing! Additionally, our “Donate” tab is active now! You can donate via credit card or electronic check, and we encourage you to set up recurring donations if you don’t want to have to remember to donate at every Divine Liturgy. Take a look at our website at byzantinenashville.org to see the updates!
